Yes, they like you, however, they are not certain of your reaction, so, a part of their body wants to tease you, remember: teasing is sexual communication, it is meant to create intimacy, that's why they are going to deny when you tell them that they are teasing you, in fact, whenever you tell a woman that she is teasing, she is going to deny it because women have been socially programmed to preserve their "chastity" and "honor"!

I know that what I'm saying here is going to sound very strange to you, but this is the reality, women have it in their mind that once they are "unmasked", once men know of their true intentions and feelings, they will become vulnerable!
